Science, Stefan. They offered science.

Good luck finding moral values through science.
-
Ethics, morality & empathy exists regardless. Science just showed us the reality of existence rather than relying on the mythology of antiquity.
-
Even science is fatally flawed now. Its not about finding the truth anymore. And all about proving your theory.
-
Science is demonstrable & can applied - it works While history has proven most of the Bible characters never existed. Reason, ethics, empathy etc will always exist. They were used independently of cults/mythology before the main religions & will be used after they’ve gone
-
Actually this isn't true either. Many if not moat are proven to have exist. Even Jesus is proven to have lived. Son of god or not can be argued however.
-
Moses, David etc did not Jesus while he probably existed was in reality probably a gnostic preacher whose was stolen and merged into Roman/Greek mythology. The people of the past still based their societies on reason, empathy, ethics- we’ve just learned more since then
-
Most societies were based on the religion at the time.

I dunno man, I'm an atheist and I devote my life to my family instead of God. I feel fulfilled.

Completely agree. Humans need foundation to their lives. It just doesn't work to just run around doing what feels good at the time.
-
That foundation does not need to be religion though
-
Whatever that foundation is, it's the inability to compromise on it is what makes it foundational. If you have freedom to change something, it's not a foundation. We compromise on everything.

‘When men stop believing in God, they won’t believe in nothing. They’ll believe in anything.”
-
I’ve never heard that before, thank you.
