Don't judge the guy. We aren't all the same.
I said I was baffled, I didn’t judge him negatively, I just don’t understand the difference. His wife is recovering from cancer, and now she has to deal with his addiction, I don’t see how it helps.

Are you saying a clinical psychologist has no idea these drugs are addictive?

His profession doesnt make him immune from being a human being like everyone else. He likely thought he would be able to handle the addictive side to the drug, but he's human, we should be supporting him and wishing him a fast recovery.

Benzos aren’t always habit forming. They help a great deal for those with panic disorder. JP just made a mistake by quitting cold turkey. Your body doesn’t like the sudden change. You have to wean off if you’re taking them regularly.
