Why are you picking on Christians, who ended slavery? The Islamic slave trade was almost 20 times larger. pretty sure we all know the reason why.https://twitter.com/markcubsfan/status/1173586425880690688 …

Why can't people who claim to be Christian say "slavery was horrible and we need to understand why many Christians supported it and how we address the legacy " ? Stop being defensive and deflecting. Integrity.

The LEGACY of slavery among Christians WAS addressed. But the CONTINUED PRACTICE in 2019 of Slavery by !SLAM is NOT Addressed, even though it's alive and well. This is Guilt Politics!

Let's pick on both, and the active slavery happening today in the middle East, Western and southern Asia and in many Western counties as well. Slavery is bad, no matter what your magic book from a sky wizard says.

i'm a Christian and i agree; slavery was horrible, BUT! i am not responsible for the actions of anyone at any time but me, right here and right now. I have not hurt anyone else and therefore will not apologize for anyone else.

To be fair, it's not Christianity that made people realize that slavery was bad, as slavery is totally allowed in the Bible. It was the road to enlightenment, which forced Christianity to adapt or die out.

Not only Muslims but virtually every African country perpetrated slavery. Ever heard of Dr Livingston? He spent his life fighting slavery in Africa, which was more brutal than anywhere in the world.
