I to remember a time my mom's husband was thinking to leave his company for a job with better benefits and his bosses suddenly decide he should be paid 35K more a year. The moral of the story is if your worth more they will pay to keep you.

Minimizing cost and maximizing benefits is the essence of life. Not only among humans. Even trees bend to get more sun rays and grow their roots to get more water. At the expense of other trees.

I would love your take on the business arrangement I am presently in. It's a family business, way to complicated for a tweet.

Even if "overqualified" for job, most often given job's cost structure/margins, it cannot support you at your "qualified" rate; always constrained by margin employer can make on your efforts not how good your efforts are; eg Cordon Bleu chef, working @ McD - Margins are baked in.
