And of course all the money that customers save by choosing Amazon is used to buy other things, or save and invest, which creates other businesses and employment.

Except Amazon is heavily subsidized by the government. Thus eliminating competition by special privileges only afforded to them.

And one more thing sir. You are correct on the customer b2c side that is why companies like amazon don’t use their power on that side because price gouging or similar consumer protection regulations prevent. B2b whole different ballgame. I guess you didn’t run supply chain

I found Amazon convenient. Then I realized what it does to local retailers. Personally a trip to a local big box store means I contribute to local jobs. With Amazon, I contributed to overworked USPS and corporate welfare. Personaly, Amazon is dead to me.

Ridiculous. Amazon has allowed my businesses access to HUGE markets we never would’ve had access to otherwise. As an amazon vendor we now have ready access to compete with huge companies who would never buy our products tro resell. We are direct to market with amazon.

I just checked and yes, you can buy buggy whips on Amazon. You can probably buy a brick and mortar store, too. Cheap.

Amazon is just better at what they do. Ever taken something back to Lowes or Home Depot?

Amazon has never earned a profit. It users market dominance to undercut the prices of companies selling products on its platform and then offers to buy those companies at below market rates. This is anti-competitive and destructive to the American capitalist system.

We KNOW "how the market works" : that is precisely THE POINT. The market works just in the way described. ENGULFING small businessess, and creating huge transnational conglomerates.

That’s flat out false, the demise of malls and brick and mortar stores can be directly attributed to e commerce, and Amazon is among the biggest e commerce sites. They displaced other business which makes them susccessful, but other business definitely died due to Amazon.
