I know someone who worked at an Amazon warehouse. Amazon treated them more than fairly and paid a decent wage. He said the majority of workers were incredibly lazy.

Amazon also pays their employees stock quite often which pans out really well for the worker. Income tax up front, capital gains later (much lower).

Stef there are definitely limits; Apple factory suicide nets in China. Of course there are western customers willing to pay for devalued Chinese labour. That doesn't mean that Chinese labour is priced correctly, even by the standards of cold market forces.

Not with you on this one. Go work for them on the line and come back in a few months. They dont need you to defend how horribly they treat their employees pay and conditions. Amazon is everything wrong with capitalism. Sometimes you get it so wrong.

I'm not entirely sure I have the capital to compete with Jeff Bezos. The level of regulatory capture companies like Amazon have today is out of control. Even if it were possible to compete I wouldn't be able to because of the way these companies collude with the state.
