No one has had the courage to question them. At the time natives died of smallpox, many women died from "childbed fever" because birth attendants didn't believe in washing their hands between patients. Bacteria and viruses were unknown. This whole thing is nonsense.

"How have these nonsense crappy arguments lasted this long?" Repetition. A lie told often enough becomes the truth. Jung said that the emotional energy of an event ebbs away with each successive generation.

How lasted so long? Or how do they even emerge? Because repeating conditioned answers requires little or no genuine thought. Questioning requires cognition and reasoning, which is why education and media are all about just giving out answers.

They’ve lasted because they serve a purpose for the people who espouse them.

Umm, who's saying America is illegitimate? Most takes I've seen about how we did awful things to people in our past largely want 2 things Us to acknowledge what we did in the past (say, the Trail of Tears) Us to do better, and perhaps make things right (how is part of the debate)

The left are very clever at indoctrinating people in our schools. They said long ago that they would bury us and now we know how they have done it.
