Exactly. At no point in time have I ever thought “she has bloodlust in her eyes.” Yes she might have been riding shotgun but she had very little say in turning the bus around and heading home.

I think it is rationalized by being in an official office. That "officialness" shields you from decisions - abstracts it to govt. service as if you are washing your hands in real-time. Anything done under that umbrella is just...done, and it isn't you, but some abstraction.

I met her. She is a badass. Tiny lady, commanding presence. I am 270lbs and most people flinch a bit when I walk up to them but I got nothing but a steel gaze, a very strong handshake and a little smile. Kinda person you'd follow into hell. Which, I guess, many ended up doing.
