This is a hard one. The media has destroyed my Tribe

My work friend had 1 parent left, her abusive mother who was real good at verbal abuse. Many times I saw my 40 some yr old friend at work, crying after a mother phone call. She cut mom off for 5 yrs, then contacted again but with healthy boundaries that she strictly enforced.

Those people are back? The people who call you a cult leader are themselves part of a cult of abusive relationships.

I'd always thought it wasn't a good idea to associate with abusive people. Self defense 101. Don't be there. I would like to think it was common sense.

This isn’t an original or a new idea. No one calls Dan Savage a cult leader when he says “logical, not biological”. Key word - abusive
