That's false, like most of what you say. There is a long history of honor killings in many European nation's. It's has even been written into laws historically in places such as Italy, Belgium and Albania.

Honor killings are the result of a society using the family unit as the principle social unit instead of the individual. In most countries around the world social interactions are considered to be between family units rather then individuals.
