I was all kinds of snobby about country and western music, until I was stuck in a tent over the winter, and the only available radio station was country and western – played the top 800 C&W songs of all time on a regular basis. Grew on me. Great humor, great stories.

I know someone who went through an agonizing divorce. Driving back home from west coast to east, he would only play country music because he didn’t really like it & he didn’t want to associate any other music with this horrible time in his life. He ended up liking country music.
