Way too hard on your feet, ankles & knees. Not good for your back. Just because you're 20 now you won't always be and these shoes will come back to haunt you. Wear flats and supportive sneakers when you can no matter your age. Your body will thank you.

They are too painful

There are other tricks to use but well some of those are also painful I imagine. Maybe corsets will return someday? Others get breast inplants but some overdo those getting back pains. Former porn actors usually have these removed or shrunk of this reason.

I live in Colombia, women here use "fajas" and the beauty industry is really big.
-
As ever, the definition of what count as beautiful changes fro place to place and time to time but the drive to achieve beauty are universal.

Flats are ugly and not graceful in the least. Heels are much nicer even if it's harder for everyone but Melania Trump to walk in them. The angled foot is what looks more graceful. The 90 degree angle is hard to look at. That's part of the beauty of ballet.

exactly the case Jordan Peterson made, it's innate. Put the shoe on the other foot and if a man did the same and went from jeans to an expensive suit the same would happen. Men are focused on sex and women on providers.

Interesting article! This makes sense, I’ve been married for 23 years and I have to say I will occasionally wear a pair of high heels for a date night or church, but I basically prefermy Birkenstocks. When I was single in my early 20s I loved high heels, not anymore;)

They wouldn’t, in that scenario. I haven’t read the study, but I imagine they’d make the response rate go down with women.

Just read it. Yep.

Of course not. We do the optical baiting, not men.

I often suggest sitting down, or ask to sit whilst my conversational partner stands. In extreme I'll kneel. This can work both ways. Speaking with a permanent stoop, which others rick their necks looking upwards makes for constrained conversations
