In the business world, I wore them because it was expected. When I realized this conforming had no bearing on my productivity I stopped wearing those torture chambers. I actually has a female colleague critic my wardrobe...true feminist LOL.

Would be interesting to do a study of Twitter selfies to examine the ones looking at the subject from above, to see not only the face but the shoulders and chest. Who took them?

I hate neckties. But I own them. Because they are part of the "dress code". It's called Dress for Success. For guys, it's the suit, tie, and wingtip shoes. None of which are in any way "comfortable". For gals, it's the heels, hose, and makeup. Ditto on "comfortable".

Except when they try to run with them. Platforms I think would be better, not hippy like lol. Just my opinion though.
