When my daughter was 7, she asked for a cup of apple sauce at DQ. I said that it was too sugary. A few mins later, she asked if she could eat an apple at home. Sure, I said. “Then why can’t I have apple sauce here, since I could just mush up the apple at home?” Dad got owned

Mr. Molyneux, the fiber in a whole apple slows sugar absorption, keeping insulin and hunger in check, among other things (glycemic index).

And if you ever need regularity--I'll tell you--good Cripps Pink Lady apples work. When I was at 5/day, I had what seem liked an exact time in the morning for activity.

All modern fruit is bred to be 100 times sweeter then it would ever occur "naturally". 23 grams of sugar in a large apple, 13 grams of it fructose (still sugar) and the rest fiber. Both the fiber & the sugars wreak digestive & metabolic havoc. BAD! Eat meat/animal. You did right

Homemade applesauce is the best especially with fall apples. I just use cinnamon

There is a lot more then one Apple in the applesouce. She would get the succar from a lot of apples without having the feeling of a full stomach. Maybe you can make some applesauce yourself together with her to show her.

It’s processed. Literally pre-chewed, no nutritional value. You did the right thing

In that case, why did you initially claim that the applesauce was too sugary for her to eat?
