Blabbering on the internet =/= philosophy. Philosophy is a profession that involves publishing philosophical works in established journals of philosophical research and writing books that get reviewed by other philosophers.

The idea that thinking about the nature of reality and ethics is something reserved for acedemics to write about in journals not read by other academics is got to be the most blue pilled tweet on this site.

Philosophy is just logic and thought to understand the world better. Some of us consider ourselves philosophical and never write about it. This guy really doesn't get it.

When you philosophically analyze it, the only real point in philosophy is to practice so you become better at it?

'Established' journals....something else hijacked by the communist left where no one in the right will have a place unless its a philosophy about why pedophilia is not wrong but natural or some terrible shit like that.

Exactly! What would be the point of philosophy otherwise? Self-aggrandizing?

@Simferos, most philosophers would question and examine your statement and then argue the pros and cons of it. Some would agree with it, some would not.

Does that guy have zero self-awareness? Just like Socrates and Aristotle! They had to run their work through a thousand administrators and departments deans and PEER REVIEW before we could determine whether they had anything useful to say amirite?

Philosophy is essentially about the appreciation and use of wisdom.
