That's a lot of views and a lot of reads, I'll grant that. (I guess public philosophy and academic philosphy are very different, but I don't really know what makes one influential there.)

The most popular philosophers these days are Jordan Peterson and Slavoj Zizek. The bar is set very low.

Not to mention several "illiterate", "slovenly" and "eccentric" Zen masters of ancient China (the most likely Eastern equivalent of Stoicism in the East in my opinion) whose weirdness still resonates with countless people today.
