At least be open about your use of the word "philosopher." Most take it to mean credentialed academic who advanced the field. But you're (very coyly) using it literally: no one can deny you're a "lover of wisdom" with a terrific online presence.

I acknowledged that there are two definitions of philosopher. Any serious thinker can literally be a "philosopher," but these days the word usually refers to professional philosophers like Peter Singer or David Benatar. Stefan is deliberately ambiguous about this.

Well the question was: is Molyneux the most influential modern philosopher. If you're trying to convince me otherwise this isn't a great route.

Did you read our exchange? I've said twice now that I *agree.* He's just not the most influential modern philosopher in the way that academics understand and use the term. Stefan has not contributed new knowledge to philosophy, however much a lover of wisdom he may be.

Philosopher, like Prophets in Christianity, are almost a lost profession/calling these days. Likewise, "influential" is a neutral term. You can be either good or bad and still be an influencer. So, even your enemies should be able to admit that you are, if they tell the truth.
