Yes, but licensed therapy never comes from a psychologist.
-
Yes it does they are called clinical psychologists. Medication never comes from a psychologist therapy does, often, come from a psychologist.
-
Okay, then does the Department of Veterans Affairs in the US send vets to clinical psychologists before institutionalizing them, or to get a prescn afterward ... gosh this is confusing I dont know what I'm on about.
-
Psychiatrists are doctors and only they can prescribe medication. for vets i would suspect theyd go to either or both depending on what their individual needs are.

'Cause it's not like psychology and psychiatry are related fields both utilising the medical model (and similar ethics codes)? or you wouldn't pounce on them if you thought they where a psychiatrist when they were only a psychologist?
-
With the one big difference is one has to actually talk to you, the other will just stick you on a pill.
-
entirely possible - but isn't that a regulation issue?

Neitheir psychology nor psychotherapy are any better than psychiatry. Well, at least they don't use drugs. So they are better. But still drugless dangerous nonsense.
