There has never been a manifestation of capitalism that was truly voluntary. An unregulated market invariably leads to monopolies, which deny freedom of choice. You know this. Private ownership, checked by (limited but effective) government for the common good, is the ideal

In theory, state is the opposite of communism. Communism is a stateless society. You are thinking of socialism and planned economy. Which sometimes is not that bad.
