        The issue will be the interpretation of the 14th amendment. If he goes for it, Trump will learn that tackling constitutional amendments, like he is now learning with trade wars, isn't as easy as he thinks.

        Its pretty simple. The author wrote that it was intended to not apply to this exact situation. Birthright citizenship was written in with a footnote in a supreme court case in the 80s. Trump could overturn by eo, court challenge would easily proceed to the supreme court.
