Lol no it is failing. Walfare state is working when the state is incredibly wealthy, but it impoverishes it so at some point it stops working.

The welfare state may be a draw for migrants, but migrants were only allowed into the West in the first place because they provided cheap workers. Rand's philosophy will always result in widening income inequality. Not to mention the total disregard for community.
