I used to consider the topics which could be assigned (in my day we had to write term papers on the spot, in class) & I would practice writing a paper on each topic On mid term & final days I'd glance at the topic on the whiteboard, sit down & write from memory what I'd practiced

I went to college out of HS. Had no clue what I wanted. Stoped. Movd to GA. started a trade. Came back home after a year. Started a job at Circuit City. Got hired as an intern testing the iPhone 4. Decided 2 go 2 school 4 computer science (7 years after HS). Fell in love with CS

It wasn't until my first programming course where I finally found what I wanted to do the rest of my life. If I had stuck with college out of HS I would be in the business world and miserable as hell. Now I get paid to do what I love and what I would do for free/fun
