Mind you he was only popular among a very specific group the non-white Israelis who he'd won over by playing identity politics on them. He was very much like popular radical black American religious and political activists like Farrakhan or for a Christian example Michael Dyson

But of course, the definition does not say, "A non-Jew that only exists to serve Jews," it merely says, "A non-Jew." I will happily disavow that particular rabbi's perspective on the matter. I've also not made any claim that Christian leaders have said anything comparable.

My rule of thumb is to beware of any group which has a dedicated word for anyone who doesn't belong to that group. It means the distinction is very important to them.
