Not obscure but very openly and proudly an extremist. The Israeli PM has praised him probably because Ovadia (born Abdullah Yusuf in Baghdad) was very popular among the non European Jewish population and he does not want to lose their votes.

Check out "the House of Chabad" in Dnepropetrovsk and also know that Chabad Lubavich is the most prevalent Talmud sect at the moment. Their holy book Tanya, by Zalman Schneerson, is most read Jewish book in the world, and it says goim derive from deamons. Jared Kushner is Chabad.
