This has been on my mind for a few years. I see it subconsciously in my older friends that are distancing. I don't blame them. I do the same, but they benefit, or not, from new "friends". Would like to get your take.

Sounds like a lady having difficulty adjusting to change and coming out of her comfort zone. Its a common situation. Nobody likes change.
