No solutions. One tradeoff will be less trust of strangers (outgroup) because we have less trust of the evidence which one can use to evaluate the character of a potential friend.

Imagine somebody produced a deep fake of Stef saying "whites on average have a higher IQ & are superior" I know that Stef would never say that, but the left is primed to believe that he is a white supremacist. (ii)
