I am skeptical, but intrigued. My old dives into HIV, AIDS, and Autoimmune disorders lead me to believe that having excess sexual partners in a short timespan overwhelms the body's immune system (too many foreign cells/bacteria) leading to failure of some degree. Seems similar.

The placenta is a barrier between mothers blood and babies blood. If not, mothers immune system would attack bathe baby as a foreign object. This would be accomplished before even the blastocyst phase.

This is absolutely bananas on multiple levels. But mostly just that biologically that can't possibly work.

If this were true it would mean that women with more partners had immune systems that underwent more opportunities for mutation and the mother's cytoplasm might influence the zygote's immune system to be more robust through the increased exposure.
