As a Malay I stay in a Malay area, Chinese & Indians usually stay within thier communities and even here in Malaysia, we have Japanese Town and Korean Town for the very same reason! And this is not some weird phenomenon. People feel comfortable with people they can relate to.

Most of the people I know are mixed nationalities like myself. My brother-in-law is black. His biological grandson is white with red hair and blue eyes. How do people actually know what others think and what their history is just by looking at them?

All people prefer to live among those with a similar culture and values as their own. All are allowed to do so, except whites. Nobody questions if a minority has white friends, but any white without minority friends is racist. PS I am a minority

Race is only one way to group people, it’s oftentimes inaccurate ; every individual might be different, I refuse to use race to judge individuals. Although it is true that sometimes some people do fall into their racial stereotypes.
