So the question is why does this thing happen? Why is this desire to wipe out economic prosperity so historically predictable? Prior to ww1, europe had enjoyed 100 years of prosperity, yet that war was jumped into with a gleeful abandon.

The people that do this, believe that they are superior in every way. They see the common person as nothing more than cattle to be herded. It disgusts them that the livestock, who's only purpose on this planet is to serve them, are living nice prosperous lives.
