        It's confusing for visitors to the US. Most parts of the world either have no tipping practice or it's not expected.

        I nornaly tip given i work in food service as well but idk some waitresses dont deserve a tip. I went out to eat with my fiancee the other day and we legit got forgot about. We orderd our food then she just goes off never brings it back then like oh sorry i forgot. She got no tip

        Yes. If it's self serve or a window restaurant I don't tip. If they bring me my water, coffee (beer), and food, than I usually tip 20% of the bill.

        I always tip based off how well they serve me. They can typicaly earn 5 whole dallors from my jewish ass. Like 5$ is 5 stars 4 is 4 stars and so on lmao.
