I think she is confusing construction with arts and crafts. Just because it's construction paper doesn't mean you are working in construction.

That's hilarious. Filing papers wears polish off the nail, and destroys manicures. Work gloves wear it away MUCH faster, and won't protect them from tearing. I say tearing, not breaking because the sweat from the gloved hand will keep the nail damp and soft, and likely bent.
