WHY do women wear nail polish? To show that they don't have to do manual labor. This signals that they are attractive enough to have reeled in a wealthy Alpha male and/or that they have a comfortable office job. Female status signals are EVERYWHERE!

Because waitresses never wear nail polish.

I was a waiter for years. Not the same as manual labor. I worked with a few women up north, prospecting and drilling for gold samples. No nails, no heels.

I work construction, wear steel toes everyday and still have my nails done with the money I make from busting my ass everyday. What now?

You don’t need steel toes to bring men coffee. Is it code or something?

Stefan, are you sure you're not a peripheral character from Deadwood? It's difficult to know whether this is all real or merely for monetary showmanship.

Most really successful, wealthy men I know either inherited it or used their brains, not their muscles, to make money. The wealthy people are not builders or miners. Painted nails are just another thing some women do to look nice. Even married women like me occasionally.

Dude worked a drilling job once in his 30s and now he’s a “philosopher” but gets to educate people on manual labor.

Stefan, what is manual labour? I’m a midwife and mostly use my hands to practice. That would be manual labour, right. And you’re a hideous human. Just saying.

I’m a waitress and boy does it feel like some sort of manual labor. Maybe not as intense as some.

You obviously weren't a great server then. That job is very hard work. I wore nail polish as a server.
