WHY do women wear nail polish? To show that they don't have to do manual labor. This signals that they are attractive enough to have reeled in a wealthy Alpha male and/or that they have a comfortable office job. Female status signals are EVERYWHERE!

Don’t you wear gloves when you’re riding?
-
gloves tend to cone off before and sfter riding...whats the non-point youre trying to make?
-
How do you stop them from chipping? Mine chip after 3 days just from washing dishes.
-
gel or shellac...stays good for at least a week...
-
Dip manicures last too. No chipping, no breaking.

I got one of those before my wedding and the thickness of it make me insane!!

Gloves, buddy. Gloves while cleaning, gardening, mucking out the barn, painting the house, and other "manual labor" that women do every day.

I'm also a rock climber, and while I don't do it myself, I've seen other women climb with manicures. The fact that you think doing manual labor means constantly scraping your nails while doing it tells me that you haven't done a lot of manual labor.

I've known plenty of women who came to the barn with manicures and did barn work... the professional jobs on their nails lasted longer, but they got touchups when they needed to.

Right. If it doesn't validate what I say, it can't be true. I have about 150 pairs of shoes (many heels up to 4") and prefer to wear dresses. I also build furniture in wood and metal and have a garage full of power tools. There's no dichotomy there.
