The reason being, Stefan, that attachments are believed to be formed in infancy and that attachment style is developmental. Its not a philosophical problem, nor is it a mental health problem.

When did she say the 2 words are the same? What are you trying to “help” with? If it’s some kind of emotional damage, then she is correct. To “help” someone fix or repair or mend what has been damaged.

No, the words mean different things, clearly. My point was that both "help" and "repair" require the expertise of a genuine therapist knowledgeable in attachment theory. I don't disagree with you that attachment is the issue, though.
