either word works. And either approach requires a real therapist. Attachment issues (and you aren't wrong BTW), are developmental.

The reason being, Stefan, that attachments are believed to be formed in infancy and that attachment style is developmental. Its not a philosophical problem, nor is it a mental health problem.

Where you are correct is that the problem originates with a fundamentally dysfunctional maternal attachment (bond). IMO this is a sociocultural shift and has become much more apparent in recent decades. Ive often thought more research needs to be done in this area.
