Had that answered last summer. Got married. Month later, wife was diagnosed. Next day she was hospitalized with kidney failure. She passed in May. I'm 34. Life comes at you fast.

My deepest sympathies Travis. Choked up.

Thank you, Stefan. She put in a tremendous amount of emotional effort and energy into making me a better person, man, and partner. I'm living each day determined to advance that progression. She deserves nothing less.

I hope hope you can find love agin. I’m sure you can. A heart that big needs someone to move in.

Declining into old age is something to aspire to. I hope I finally slip into a canyon in the Owyhee Desert once I hit about 70ish. Be nice to live life and also let it go where it feels like I connect to something greater. Wasting away... I dunno https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Owyhee_Desert …pic.twitter.com/SzWT4n7J3h

Yeah Planning for poetic/dramatic exits from life is just a fantasy of youth. Roger Daltrey sang “Hope I die before I get old.” He’s still going

Jeebus christ, Stefan... way to take the jam out of my donut. I was planning on dying in a firey dragster accident at 200mph :(

Yeah. I was young once too. I rejected and insulted good advice. I paid. Everyone does who doesn’t listen.

I’m 45. My mom has dementia. I use my free will to help her because she needs it. I am going in a 1/2 hour to get a pizza for lunch and then do her grocery shopping, what I do every Thursday. Yes, teach your children to be like trees - grounded and reaching for the stars.

I've got 3 children. Eldest is married & has 2 children. My other 2 kids are in their 20s with plenty of time to marry & have children of their own. The kids saw me take early retirement so I could care for my own parents (now deceased). No worries.

Mike, you’re blessed.

People don’t look to the future any longer. So few have any retirement savings. Most are living paycheck to paycheck. Makes the entire society less stable. Both my parents lived on farms during the last depression. Didn’t phase them. People are no longer self sufficient. Fragile.
