I always thought she was kind of a badass. I like her. I’m an artist - not the miserable kind, but the kind who’s good at doing large oil paintings of people. Oh I’m acutely aware of envious cretins who want me to be more of a shitty artist like them. Rand’s my hero.

I read her Atlas shrugged, and it's not without qualities, but I found the characters to be very one dimensional. They are cardboard props in her philosophical argument

Pure capitalism seems similar to Marxism to me: abstract systems that supposedly work wonders if only perfectly implemented. I lean towards something like lIbertarianism but I think a culture of personal and collective morality matters more, and could make almost any system work.

Maybe she had a reason to feel suspicious of being interviewed. Obviously reticule is not new. Twisting ones words has a long history. And she was a woman.
