Crises can promote growth. This is something that my and even younger generations must understand. Development is sparked by accommodation to life, not assimilation of the world to our own paradigm. We must acculturate to existence.

I went into therapy for severe anxiety. I was on a very toxic relationship with a hurt woman. I went to fix my anxiety and fix the relationship. I learned I needed to fix myself and leave her. Once I made my mind up and was ready to do it she ended it first. Anxiety gone.

I'd argue how you deal with panic is important also. Panic can paralyze a person. Fear is awesome fuel. But you can't let it overwhelm you cognitive resources. Step back, calm down, think clearly on what has to be done, or seek help to determine what needs to be done
