No, he's trying to keep people from living with a mindset of scarcity by restructuring our tax system so corporations that pay $0 in taxes and get billions in refunds, will be forced to stop hoarding all the money. #YangGang #ElonForYang #Yang2020https://itep.org/notadime/

If they pay $0 in tax how would they get billions in refunds? Your use of the word "and" here is incorrect. Yang's UBI is awful. The better solution here is to stop illegal immigration (and lower the amount of legal migration). This benefits corporations, but not average worker.

e.g. Japan, the country's GDP as a whole hasn't moved much, but the GDP per capita (and standard of living) is up quite a bit since the early 2000's -- despite their total population dropping for some years now. $15 minimum wage? This is a joke, w/ immigration unchecked. Lunacy
-
Imagine thinkinging GDP is a good measurement of your average citizen
-
Yes, GDP is measurement for a country, GDP per capita is measure for a person. Better yet is the GDP per capita PPP. Japan is great study on this as already has declining pop. Yet we're constantly told we need more migrants. This and $15 min wage? It is the lunacy of Democrats.

It's definitely a bribe. But the question is, would it work? It would certainly stimulate the economy. The implementation of it would be chaotic.

The problem isn't UBI - the problem is doing it without the whole post scarcity thing. Also you have to replace money with...something else. In fact you'd have to have an economy that could supply everyone as a potential billionaire. We're nowhere near that despite claims.
-
“ou'd have to have an economy that could supply everyone as a potential billionaire” What do you mean?
-
post scarcity means - if I want it I get it. If you have to ration resources then it's not post scarcity. So if I want a badass gaming computer, then it is supplied to me without my need for currency. If I want to go out and have a steak - bam I do it and don't have to worry.
-
@nootwali it doesn't mean I go out of my way all the time or demand a mega mansion - but it does mean that I can get housing at any time and in any place that is available without having to worry about a price point. Post-scarcity means that everything is value-less.
