She had some beauty & plenty of make up, but she aped masculine body language, clothing & voice. I’m sure other women would’ve seen through her quicker, that’s why she didn’t put them on the board.

That's how the free market usually works. The best products and services usually come from those that don't have the best image, but who have the dedication to what they do. Geeks, nerds, etc. They focus so hard on their product or service that they forget about marketing.

Yes. Makeup was an absolutely central and integral part of the success of this swindle. Pity. If only her makeup application skills weren't quite so good, none of this would have ever happened. It's the same reason Bernie Madoff was able to do what he did, no doubt.
