It’s a rare exception, but a welcome one. I know a handful of what would be called “militant atheists” and only one vehemently opposes the left. I get that’s just a personal account, I’m just saying I understand the common assertion.

Those of us who can reject the super natural elements of religion whilst still understanding and appreciating the core values within are often right leaning. At least that's what I find. Anecdotal I know.
