I am an atheist, but I don't accept this or attacks on synagogues; not on mosques either, when that happens. I don't know how to tell a leftist our culture has the right to defend itself too.

They burned down Notre Dame. Less news than the Vegas Shooter.

What's to love about it? Honest question. I don't really get western and middle eastern religions.
-
Read any saint and you will fall in love with it. Or read good theologians like Garrigou LaGrange, Everlasting life of the Soul. Christianity is truly the most beautiful creed. An ideal archetype so beautiful and a soul with reason and will two eternal attributes....
-
I did actually. I realised I'm more sound with eastern religions. Shinto, Buddhism, Jainism,Sanatani etc.
-
My problem with those is that they do not bring supernatural solutions to the human problem. They rely on humans to fix humans and humans are broken. A broken thing can fix itself, it wouldn't know how, as it doesn't have a standard outside of itself.
-
Human should rely on oneself. This healing and praying thing won't help, also the obsession with heaven and hell is annoying. I mean we too have heaven and hell but people are not obsessed about it. Concept is simple. Karma is supreme, you get what you obtain.
-
Humans are broken. Well even in eastern religions you have a similar idea. Heaven and hell are easy to believe in if one believes good and evil and justice and mercy.
-
Human's are the strongest amongst living being. Humans are not sinners and no we don't have similar concept.

Sad isn't it? Picking on the guys that believe 'turn the other cheek' and 'love your enemy's' is so brave
-
They don’t believe that...
-
Yes they do. It's basically the core of their faith. But no, welcome to 2019 where shit is what the hysterical say.
