That is some very dark humor, I'm pretty sure they depopulated most of the southwest tribes that "dissapeared" it would explain the hidden cliff dwellings.

Not sure. Most evidence points to migration away from centralized population centers ranging from around 1300 to 1450 AD in the Southwest. But there was some sort of disruptive force. I never bought it was only drought. Lots of oral traditions of evil peoples coming into the area
