Genghis was, undoubtedly, a violent and dangerous man who nearly destroyed Europe. It would be unfair, however, to expect the Mongol people to simply forget one of the most impactful man of the middle ages and the founder of their country.

In South Africa one of the airports is named after the Zulu warlord (King Shaka) who is well known to have slaughtered thousands of people (including many of his own) in his desire for conquest. His kraal was even named KwaBulawayo which means “place where they are killed”
