I mean... I'm sure none of them were killing each other in mass numbers before any "Christians" showed up to the continent. The Aztecs were lovie dovies.

Despite whatever flaws they had, they didn't end up genociding each other. Genocide only happened when the European colonialists showed up, and tried to "civilize" them.

Yes they did... human nature is human nature. Such a weird concept to think that everyone was just living in some perceived utopia until the late 15th century.

Obviously they did wage wars and kill each other. But it was never as extreme as what the European saviors brought there...

"Tenochtitlan with a four-day celebration. How many were sacrificed during that time is a subject of scholarly speculation: some put the figure as low as 10,000 or 20,000, several others put it as high as 80,400 people sacrificed during those four days. "

The key difference here is that by the time some had sea travel, these guys were still doing this and hadn't figured out the wheel yet. What a shame that they were forced to stop sacrificing children and taught to read.

I am pretty sure there were some of the first climate change alarmists there too. 97% of Aztec priests agreed if you rip out enough human hearts, the rains will return.
