2019 is so strange. Pointing out the fact that people relatively new to a country do not share its lengthy history is apparently a big problem. Leftism: when thinking is just too difficult.https://twitter.com/VascoProgresivo/status/1159523879741612032 …

I think it’s about perspective, I don’t think she’d identify as ethnically Irish, but culturally and personally she does consider herself Irish. I think she could still consider herself Irish, and denying her that is just really strange to me.

What? I’m not saying she shares its history I’m saying it’s justifiable for her to consider herself Irish especially if she just means culturally consider she’s more connected to that than her blood culture?

Ireland isn't multicultural. Britain tried to export it's culture to Ireland and they didn't like it.

I think you got this wrong, Stefan. History isn't ethnicity, can be taught. If she was born in Ireland, grew up learning Irish history, of course she identifies as an Irish and proudly identify Irish history as her history.

you can identify culturally and politically loyal immigrant (or child of immigrants) by the fact, that he fully accepts idea of survival of native ethnos. Only disloyal immigrants keep "welcoming" immigration at the expense of natives.
