I agree with Lauren, I’m not sure I’ve ever watched a female standup comedian who could actually me laugh

men tend to be more because sense of humor is one of the tools which men woo women and women love about a guy that "makes them laugh". there are funny one and yes , those who are on the front today are just bad but also the male ones are bad.

Women can be funny in a cute way if they're attractive. But generally no. Women think they're funny and laugh at their own jokes, but they just need to stop.

The reason apparently is that there are vastly more male comics than female, about 95%. So famous male comics did about 15 years on the circuit before fame. Women get plucked from that environment way earlier as TV wants say 25% female when the pool to choose from is only 5%.

Women aren't as funny as men. They simply don't have to be.

Evolutionarily speaking, women don't need to be as funny as men. However, many women are funny. In terms of stand up comedy, due to its high risk very few women choose that lifestyle. If they are selected because they are women, you're not going to get really funny ones.

Women are reactive funny, men are performative funny. Therefore more Male standup comedians. Women would do better with a straight man partner to riff off of
