Uhhh... this is how social security is supposed to work. Could the system be improved/reformed? Yes. But that doesn't mean people who paid into it are "taking" from it like a form of welfare.

S. M, elderly people who have no means of support & no family that can care for them die in the streets. You should run the numbers before advocating that scenario. Might be one of those things that seems like it's cheaper, but actually isn't. You're good with numbers. Do it.

Taker= unmotivated welfare mom with a deadbeat baby daddy. Not an 80 year old retiree that likely paid more into SS than lazy gen Xers and unproductive, self-entitled Millennials. You should switch up your insults so they at least make sense.
