Ashamed women who think this way will never have the beautiful memory of making thanksgiving dinner for her kids and grandkids or watching her children open presents on Christmas morning.Or feel the reward from helping their progeny through difficult times or picking wedding cake

Or have their grandkids visit them when they’re lonely, after their friends have died and their health starts to fade. What a depressing thought.

I regret not spending more time with my dad before he was gone, I regret the entire pile of crap I was taught at school which was a long way from what i needed to know.

I agree with many of your views. Some folks aren't wired for kids and would be horrible parents. I don't understand their choice but I'm relieved they thought enough about it to make that choice and I support them

Exactly and some people want to dedicate their time to other things, which might also actually help children that already exist. You can have a positive effect on the youth of tomorrow without actually giving birth...

Some people don't want kids, I don't get how that's hard to believe.

Probably for the best she didn’t breed, best part is that after she is dead she’ll be forgotten pretty much straight away.

Stefan believes it is literally impossible to not regret being childless

This is, of course, good philosophy

Also 52, childless. Always worked. Didn't met my spouse until 40 and he was older and done with kids. Do I think about it? Of course. Can I honestly say with a full heart I would have been an amazing parent and should have been one? No. Sometimes the hardest choice is no.

I'm 52 & have children. And from time to time I regret it. I guess it's normal.

Of course she probably has moments of doubt. But in totality her view may be dominant in her mind.

My upbringing was a horrible, tragic, wild mess. The one thing, as dysfunctional as my family was, that kept my sanity, was my parents staying married when I was young, and that arrangement was tenuous going into my early adulthood. I knew then I needed kids. Thank God.

No. I do not regret being childless. I saw the way my sisters treated our mom when she was dying. I’d say raising 1 good kid out of 4 is rather sad.
