Along with not facing basic philosophical questions, a lot of that comes from parents'/grandparents' non-reading lifestyle. So they get shelved because their boring and not keeping up with the thought of the culture.

Whether they love her or not is subjective. They do not visit her, and her son lives in the same small town as her. She’s been looked after by the same company for over 15 years and nobody has a bad word to say. Fact is again, having children doesn’t make you immune loneliness.
